Dr. Travis Thompson
Moving to Florida when he was eight years old, Dr. Thompson’s original career path did not begin in dentistry. He desired to be a fighter pilot; however, his vision left him unable to take flight. Instead, he chose to enter the oral surgical field and earned his undergraduate degree at the U.S. Naval Academy before completing his dental degree at the University of Florida. Afterward, he finished a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Shands Hospital. While there, he served on the craniofacial team at the UF Center for Implant Dentistry and received the Award for Oral Surgical Excellence.
As a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Thompson is also a Diplomate of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Florida Association of Oral Surgery.
Dr. Thompson has co-authored many papers and lectures on multiple topics throughout the U.S. He also served as past president of the North Palm Beach Dental Society and assists as part of the mock boards for oral surgery residents at the University of Florida.
When Dr. Thompson isn’t busy at the office, you’ll find him with his wife, Sarah, and their three children, Nik, Kit, and Pip. He also enjoys fishing and spearfishing as well as cooking BBQ, woodworking, working out, and more.

Throughout this time, he lectured on various topics, focusing much of his time on facial trauma reconstruction, maxillofacial infections, and multidisciplinary treatment.
After graduating in 2006, he has gone on to become well-known throughout the community for his work as a pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgeon. His accomplishments include becoming a Diplomate of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Board of Dental Anesthesiology. He then enrolled at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, earning his DDS degree. Dr. Holland and the team at Royal Palm Beach were amazing. I was waiting for my insurance to start before taking care of my decayed wisdom tooth, but I couldn’t wait any longer. They worked with me to give me a same-day appointment and the out-of-pocket cost was more than reasonable, while also giving me the comfort of removal under anesthesia because of the pain I was in. I will praise this office and Dr. Holland and recommend it to everyone! Thank you for taking such good care of me.
